Room Layout

Flat room with groups of moveable tables and chairs (pod seating arrangement).

Lectern Information

This room has an wide lectern with a lowered section to the left in the corner. On the lowered section, there is the touch panel and the mic station with one lapel mic and one handheld mic. On the left side of the main podium, there is the Hyflex camera, the cable cup, and the document camera.

Touch Panel

The touch panel in this room contains a different layout from a standard touch panel. There are four projectors, whose inputs can be controlled separately. There are two touch panels, one on the lectern and one on a column in the room, whose inputs can be switched. There is also a separate menu for the multiple displays in the room.

Visit the Technology Index page for a description of a general touch panel layout.

Additional Information

Screen and light controls are located on the wall behind the podium.

Welcome to the UO Steelcase LearnLab in the Knight Library Proctor Rooms.

The UO Libraries thanks Peter P. Proctor, III and George S. Proctor for their generous support of the UO Libraries Proctor Classrooms.  Special thanks also to Steelcase, Inc. for their support of this UO Steelcase LearnLab.

This room is optimized for active teaching and learning. Students sit in groups of six, gathered around the instructor who can facilitate the class from one of two central locations in the room. Instructors can project the same or multiple sources to the four screens around the room. Input panels at each of the four projection screens allow groups to project separately as well.
